Portal Blau

Portalblau is a festival that celebrates the Mediterranean as a space for encounter, light and critical thinking. Between sea and history, music, the performing arts and the spoken word engage in dialogue with the landscape, making each edition an experience that connects creativity, heritage and community. The programme features a diverse range of events in venues of great heritage value.

Beyond the artistic programme, Portalblau is a project with values. Against a backdrop of social change and global challenges, the festival views culture as a tool for reflection and collective construction. Sustainability, inclusion and equality are embodied in initiatives such as Valors i Compromís and the Xarxa Portalblau.

Where to park?

Activities at the MAC-Empúries

  • At the Muralla: Visitors should park in the car park located outside the site. Parking is not free.

  • At the Fòrum: Visitors may park within the Empúries archaeological site. Parking will be free but spaces are limited. Once these are full, visitors will need to use the private car park outside, accessing the site on foot via the visitor reception centre or the Paseo, entering through the Porta Marina. Gates will open from 8.30 pm for both vehicle and pedestrian access.

Activities in L’Escala

You will need to find the public or private car park closest to the various venues where the shows are taking place.

  • Celler Espelt (Vilajuïga): The venue has its own car park for attendees.

At the Portalblau Festival, we encourage you to reach the venues on foot, by bike or by non-polluting transport, whenever possible. In this way, we can all contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment.
